Specs of Aspire M5

The resolution of the screen is 1366 X 768 pixels. The keyboard needs a touchpad driver, which can be downloaded from the Acer’s support webpage. When the fresh drivers are installed the touchpad sensitivity can be increased greatly. The ultrabook runs on the processor of 1.7 GHz core i5-3317U. The memory is of 4 GB. The same are the specs for the $779.99 model too. Only difference is that the latter has a memory of 6 GB. The hard drive is of 500 GB.

A positive note about the ultrabook is that it eventually balances the noise, heat and battery life equation.

Where does the Acer Aspire M5 fall short?

There are many cons listed about the Acer Aspire M5.

    • The screen of the device is not good. The washed out appearance is found in the screen.
    • The speakers are also not up to the mark. When placed on any uneven surface the sound is inaudible, which is because the speakers are straight down from the bottom of the laptop.
    • The keyboard needs a firm press. Within few days, the user may feel tiresome to use the machine. Without new additional drivers, the sensitivity of the touchpad is not good.
    • The touchscreen has also the shortcomings; the user can see liquid ripples at the edge of the device.

Positive Points

Even with some shortcomings, the device also appeals with its other positive features. If you look for a sturdy chassis and long battery life in the computer, which is also affordable and durable, then you can give a go at the Acer Aspire M5 Ultrabook.
