Two images of the about to be released official AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy Note was seen by sources at Slashgear. The photos were leaked by SamMobile. It was earlier launched across the world expect the US. The Galaxy Note will be released in the US with slight variations to coincide with the US version of Android based Samsung Galaxy.
Differences in AT&T Galaxy Note
The most striking difference in the Samsung device is that the single home physical button in the front, bottom part of the smartphone has been replaced by the system the Americans are accustomed to- four physical buttons.
The other notable addition to the US version which is missing from the international edition is the use of an NFC chip intended to work with NFC applications like the Google Wallet mobile money system now active with Nexus S 4G smartphone only.
Features of the Smartphone
The device like premium Android gadgets has a superb AMOLED WXGA display for its 5.29 inch wide touch screen. It is release with Android 2.3 Gingerbread although an update to the latest Android version Ice Cream Sandwich will be available shortly after its release.
The release will include TouchWiz 4.0 integrated into the Android Gingerbread OS and will feature Qik for video chatting. The additional facilities available in the US release are Face Recognition, Augmented Reality, and Multistage that enables you to arrange easily and build your list of apps in your device.
The processor of the device is not known. It is expected to have a back 8 MP camera with 1080p video recording. Similar to most recent Samsung smartphone releases, the Galaxy Note will feature an MHL port that acts as a microUSB port also as an HDMI out when used with the correct converter cord.
