Audio Technica QuietPoint Headphones

The Audio Technica QuietPoint headphone is a high-end noise cancellation ear bud binaural type head phone that comes with a selective noise cancellation and speaker mute switches. Moreover, it has an ultra portable design supplemented by the included case and airplane charger! The price is unquestionably high though but the audio quality and experience is well worth it.

Specifications

The Audio Technicia QueitPoint headphones are highly portable and more so since they come with traveler friendly accessories like airplane charger and case. These can be used with or without noise cancellation. The summary of technical specifications of the ear bud headphones are:

• Type- ear-bud binaural headphones

• Connection- wired with mini-phone 3.5 mm-stereo connector

• Sound- stereo with noise cancellation

•Other features- noise cancelling switch, gold-plated plug

The noise cancellation module is bundled along with the clip. The unit houses an AAA type battery, the noise cancellation switch and a monitor button, which can be pressed to mute your ear-buds to hear whatever is transpiring around you. Note that the monitor button will work only, when the noise cancellation is activated. However, you can always know when it is activated by the red indicator light that glows if it does.

Pros and Cons

The one thing that clearly stands out is the portability. These are extremely slim and give a petite aesthetic appearance when worn. It is supremely comfortable for wearing it at a stretch, which may justify its high price.

However, even with the selective noise cancellation feature the $170 price tag seems a bit too much. In addition, you would not like the hard plastic design, which looks cheap. The monitor function is particularly handy and thoughtful.

In effect, the monitoring and noise cancellation facility combined with the highly portable design makes one overlook any sort of disappointments with the headphones.
