Along with a few accessories, the Canon EOS 5D 3 digital camera was launched almost after two years since the last version. With high ISO support and full frame sensor, the camera is obviously much improved than the Canon EOS 5D Mark 2 and similar gadgets.
The autofocus system used is same as that of the professional EOS 1D X DSLR cameras and brings in quick focusing of the subjects. It will be available at the end of March in the US and will retail at $3499 while prices in Asia are now not available.
The aesthetic feel of the Mark has been changed- the chassis is more rounded than the Mark 2 and contoured to fit the hand better. Thus, it provides a better grip. The lock button now occupies the position of the power on/off and lock button and the power button is now at the left of the top panel. The autofocus is quick, and the DSLR quickly tracked moving objects and compared to the Mark 2 there is an observable difference.
Specs of Mark 3
The Mark 3 feature a 22.3 MP CMOS sensor and the DSLR comes with a 61 AF point autofocus. The camera is capable of video recording at 1080p full high definition in 24, 25, and 30 frames per second. It has an ISO range from 100 to 25,600 and further expandable to 102,400.
Special features include 6 frames per second burst photo mode to capture fast paced activities and improved video performance for professional photographers with time coded full HD videos. The camera has reduced moiré and artifacts. The in camera high dynamic range (HDR) mode allows the camera to capture the same image in three different exposures.
