Although not there up with the iPad in terms of features, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.7.0, however still very much up there in what it has to offer. Keeping it short it is an affordable alternative to the Apple iPads although it is not a formidable rival. The 7-inch slate is not as large as the iPad but gives a complete tablet experience in the Android environment. It is one of the best Android 4.0 slates out there with Wi-Fi and/or 3G, 8 GB memory and 3 MP camera- the performance is commendable and the battery life is pretty decent.
The second generation of Galaxy tablets solves many of the shortcomings of the Galaxy Tab 7.0 and the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. The Galaxy Tab 2 brings improved hardware and software performance and retails at $249.99. The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone offers a lot of nice features including full access to the Google Play Store. It supports Bluetooth and you can even use it as a remote to your home theater. The extra portability that the miniature slate configuration provides will enable you to take it around and enjoy music, videos, movies, or book on the move.
Smaller and Portable
The Galaxy Tab 2 is small compared to the iPads. It has a 7-inch display screen instead of the larger 10-inch screen of the iPads. Although the 7-inch versions are not so popular it is far much easier to carry around than the customary 10 inch gadgets. However, one thing that does not look good is the battery backup. It is just 5 hours when used at a stretch, which is still less compared to the tablet standards. Nevertheless, the heartening fact is that it takes just an hour to recharge completely.
