Taking into consideration the recent announcement of the third generation iPad shoppers expect the iPad 2 prices to drop down so they too can get a taste of the tablet experience. Now no one needs to wait until March 16 when the iPad begins shipping to retail outlets. Apple has slashed prices of the iPad 2 and other retailers have followed suit. Most retail outlets will sell the 2011 launched iPad at a price much less than the original $499 tag for a Wi-Fi only tablet set.
The price change is inevitable now considering the imminent launch of iPad 3. New iPad 3 will run on an A5X processor with improved GPU. The featured retina display resolution is 2048 x 1536 at 264ppi. With improved connectivity, video recording at 1080p HD quality is possible.
