The flagship business laptops from HP- the EliteBook series comprising of Elitebook Folio 14 inch 9470m, 11.6 inch 2170p, 12.5 inch 2570p, 14 inch 8470p and 15.6-inch 8570p models are all set to consolidate HP’s enterprise offerings for business people. The 8470p and 8570p gadgets will retail starting at $899 from June 4 while the 2570p will come at $1099 and 2170p at $999 on June 22.
The HP EliteBook 2170p at 2.9 pounds is the lightest, and smallest portable computer with 9 hours battery life and compactable with most HP docking stations while the 8470p hasunbelievable 36 hours battery life. The EliteBook Folio will have business class docking abilities, touchpad, and pointing stick control and optional SSD drives, swappable battery with 20-hour lifetime. Apart from the 2570p EliteBook all laptops feature the new low-voltage-consuming Ivy Bridge processors unlike the present range of Ultrabooks.
ProBook B Series
These mid-range business line laptops are one of the most flexible of the lot- aluminum exteriors, up to three battery sizes, pointing sticks, integrated or discrete graphics options, and even mobile, broadband connectivity. The 14-inch ProBook 6470b and the 15-inch ProBook 6570b comes with Intel processors while the 14-inch ProBook 6475b will feature an AMD processor. They will be shipped around June 4 and the Intel ProBooks retail at $769 while the AMD ProBooks will cost $669.
ProBook S Series For the low-end market intended for small and medium level entrepreneurs HP has 14 inch and 15.6-inch Probook S laptops, which starts from $589- 4440/1s and 4540s using Intel processors and 4445/6s and 4545s using AMD. Important features include a spill resistant keyboard, SRS sound system, and the HP ProtectTools software suite for security and TotalMedia suite from ArcSoft for video and audio creation. The ProBook S series will ship from June 4 too.
