With the technology advancing day by day, notebooks and computers are becoming smaller, and smartphones are getting a longer look. This is the reason of emergence of devices, which fall between these two categories and are considered as phablet. HTC Droid DNAis one such device.
HTC Droid DNA will surely surprise you with its size as similar to that of the 4.8 inch Samsung Galaxy 3. As compared to the latter, HTC’s DNA outdoes by the dimensions. HTC DNA is taller than being wider, which fits itself to the palm.
However, the device is thicker and weighs a bit more than the Samsung Galaxy 3. Unlike other phablets that have larger screens, HTC’s DNA fits in more words like the Samsung Galaxy 3. DNA has an excellent resolution of 440 pixels per inch, which means that the phone is perfect for watching videos and movies.
HTC’s DNA has an 8 megapixels camera at the rear. The front facing camera for video calls in this device is the best in the industry with 2.1 megapixels. The device uses Dr. Dre’s Beat Audio, and the sound quality is astounding.
Samsung Galaxy Note has additional features like stylus, but the cost of the device is $300 for a two-year contract. DNA starts at $200 for a two-year contract. However, with its size increased, the Note looks bulky, and, on the other hand, the increase in size is hardly seen in HTC Droid DNA.
Good and Bad
HTC Droid DNA and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are evidences that phablets are being increased in size. Both phones are decent and have their own pros and cons like the screen and display. When the features are compared to the price tag, undoubtedly the DNA sounds best. The audio clarity and screen resolution are best in DNA while the size of the display is not fair enough.
