iPod has always been the best in that when talking about portable media players, it is said that there is the iPod and then the others! The iPod Touch white is the same, yet the difference is that it is the first iPod to come with the iOS 5 pre-installed. With the new iOS 5 platform, iCloud to back up your data without using the computer and prices dropping to $199 (8 GB version) the white iPod is in with a refreshed image.
iPod has always been called an ‘iPhone without a phone’ and it would be better call it ‘a small iPad’! The 3.5-inch screen has a retina resolution of 960 x 640p and runs on the same A4 and 3-axis gyroscopic sensor like the iPhone 4 and matches most of the specs with the iPhone. There is a 720p HD video camera capable of recording at 30fps at the back and a front VGA camera. At just 3.56 ounces, iPod Touch White is the lightest of the iOS devices.
Pros and Cons
Apple’s iPod Touch white requires no introduction in the world of gadgets and with a new color, feature rich OS and price it is impressive as ever. And it provides you everything of a media player and more take pictures and record videos in HD quality, check email, chat through iMessages, use iCloud cloud storage services and playing games other than playing music and videos.
However, there are some things that it is not suitable for- there is no GPS, no 3G, or 4G mobile network, and sadly, the quality of the camera is poor compared to that on the iPhones.
The iPod Touch now in its white avatar has been the best media players out there and is- put simply- an iPhone without a mobile network connection and a poor camera.
