The JLab Ear Buds from JLab Audio has been on the scene since 2006 and has made a name for itself as one of the coolest in the category whether it is the basic JBud Hi-Fi ear buds, the nicer JBuds J3 micro atomic in-ear headphones, or the high quality JBud J4 rugged earphones. Let us dig more and see what the JLab product line has in offer.
The JLab Ear buds can be classified as binaural and comes with an in-ear ear bud design. As usual, it comes with a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz and sensitivity usually below 100 dB with a stereo 3.5 mm audio-in, which is usually gold, plated for superb sound quality. Noise cancelling circuits are seldom used, but the ear bud design is appropriately noise isolating. All of them are highly portable and come with a selection of ear bud inserts for a comfortable fit.
Pros and Cons
The most commendable traits of the JLab Ear Buds are the quality, and value you get for the cost. If you look at the low cost JLab Hi-Fi headphones, it is comfortable, gives excellent bass response for the price, and is an ideal low cost replacement of your MP3 player speakers.
Moreover, on the higher class you have the J4 ear bud earphones, which give you premium sound quality on a rugged design- long tangle resistant cables are reinforced with Kevlar, flexible plastic guards reinforce the connection points of the wires, and it comes with a protective case and many ear bud tips too.
Overall, JLab ear buds have superior quality sound and effective design but they are not exactly noise cancelling although it goes as far as muffling them. If you want value for your money, the JLab ear buds are a terrific option.
