The Kodak PlayFull HD video camera is a portable digital camera that would be classified into the camcorder sect. It is affordable, easy to use and easy to setup and share photos and videos. Moreover, it fits in your pocket like your cell phone!
The design is highly portable. At 1.6 x 3.9 x 0.6 inches, and 3.4 ounces, the petite camera is even smaller than most cell phones. However, the camera is slippery as soap due to its small size is prone to drop to the floor, so be careful about it. The 1.5-inch TFT LCD screen display will preview you videos and images.
Pros and cons
The Kodak PlayFull camera has a maximum resolution of 5 MP using a CMOS sensor pretty decent for a camcorder. The camcorder is equipped with a USB dongle, speaker, IR port, tripod mount, HDMI out slot and an SD memory card slot. The control is easy and straightforward a circular d-pad with a centre button; the playback, video mode and photo mode, is to the left of the navigation pad while the settings and delete button are placed to the right. A dedicated share button is placed below the navigation pad.
It suffices to say that much because it does not have the required resolution to be useful and presents only a vague outline of your shooting.
The Kodak PlayFull is a truly portable camcorder affordable, easy to use and sports an extremely compact design. The image and video quality is not particularly amusing yet decent- but it is to be expected for a low-end pocket camcorder such as this. The screen is smaller too, but you would like the dedicated share button. The d-pad is not properly designed and feels confusing a design which is otherwise extremely easy to use. Yet at just $149.95, getting 1080p video recording from an ultra portable camera is certainly a plus!
