Motorola Droid 4 release remains unknown as leaked reports indicate that it will be released through the popular carrier Verizon. The release dates of one of the most expected gadgets of the year in different countries is expected to be announced soon by Motorola sources. It has appeared in the Reward Zone promotion of Best Buy although the name of the smartphone was not mentioned.
The promotion has been allowing customers to upgrade to the handset, and receive 5000 bonus points or $100 of reward certificates, and if it is Droid 4 it will be a New Year gift to Android fans out there.
Earlier the device was featured on the site the droiddoes.com, which indicated that the smartphone was to be released by the end of 2011 itself, and it has proven to be false. Later, the release date of the Motorola Droid 4 was rumored to be on February 2012. The latest rumors add strength to the speculation that the device is set for launch in February.
Why the Delay?
Some quarters believe that the minor glitches in the LTE technology of the 4G GSM network of Verizon as the reason for the delay in the release of the Motorola Droid 4. The extra time has come as a boon to Motorola as now it will allow the service provider to solve its network problems before the release.
Some believe that the delay in the release of the one of most awaited Android handset of the year is to be able to use the newest version of Android, the Ice Cream Sandwich as it is soon the initial monopoly of the Galaxy Nexus is to be soon removed. Or maybe the wait is to see through the surge in the sales of the latest iPhone.
