Merely saying that gadgets have made life easy would be an understatement.
This era, the whole world, is run by devices! They touch so many lives right from homes to work. Apple is a company that has taken electronic devices to a whole new dimension.
Apple’s latest addition:
iPads manufactured by Apple are actually in fashion these days. Apple’s latest ipad is going to launch in the market soon, in the coming year most probably, and manufacturer of LCD screens would be Sharp No. 2 plant in Central Japan. LCD screen made by Sharp is widely in use today in tablets, smartphones and flat screen TV’s.
Amount of iPads sold by apple increased this year drastically directly from 4.2 million to 11.1 million sales raising company benefit by about 54% as compared to last year. The issue of screens suppliers for apple arose because Sharp is planning to produce smaller LCD’s for smartphones and tablets. According to arguments “this would bring stability to Sharp’s sales volume and attract more attention towards its technology” as said by Nobuo Kurahashi, Mizuho Investors Securities Analyst.
Decision of inclusion:
Apple has decided to use Sharp’s LCDs because the company is engaged in a number of lawsuits with the South Korean Electronics giant Samsung Electronics Co. both have been running each other to courts for patent violations as they fight for the lead in the gadget market. Samsung’s chief operating officer and President Lee Jae-Yong have also had a conversation with Apple’s Chief Executive Tim Cook about extending Samsung’s deal with Apple for supplying parts for the year 2013-2014.
Apple also depends with another South-Korean Company LG Display Co. for the supply of LCD panels. Sharp also mentioned during early this year that its Kameyama plant no. 2 in Mie Prefecture that has so far only produced LCD screens for TV’s will now start mass-manufacturing smaller LCD panels for mobiles by this year’s end.
